While my brother attended the Air Force Academy, I would send my baked goods to him and his friends. Now that they've graduated and stationed all over the country, it's harder for me to send them treats.
Mike is nearby for training, so he came to watch my swim meet and catch up with my mom and me. He correctly assumed we would have baked goods for him, but didn't know just how much we had made...
I made molasses cookies--which taste like christmas--and my classic chocolate chip cookies; my mom made him chewy chocolate cake cookies and her infamous peanut butter rice kripie treats; and my friend, Marcela, made some sugar cookies.
You can never have too many cookies and treats, right?
